David Stuart Havard (born 7 February 1950) is a British Labour Party politician, who was Member of Parliament (MP) for Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney from 2001 to 2015. Before then, he had been a secretary of the MSF union. In September 2014, Dai announced his decision to step down as an MP at the following year's general election, which he did so on the month of the election.[1]
