Damián Szifron (born 9 July 1975) is an Argentine film and television director, and screenwriter, best known as the creator of the TV series Los Simuladores (2002).[1]

Szifron was also the writer and director of the follow-up series in 2003, and of Hermanos y Detectives. He studied cinema with the theoric film writer Angel Faretta. Szifron is a frequent collaborator with actor Diego Peretti, who has appeared in all of Szifrón's films since Punto Muerto (1998), as well as starred in Los Simuladores (The Pretenders). His 2014 film Wild Tales was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or in the main competition section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.[2]
