Dave Kelly

Dave Kelly is a Canadian voice actor and former a co-host of Citytv Calgary's Breakfast Television.[1] He has also been the host of the Reach for the Top National Finals since 2005, and the Alberta Provincial Finals since 2006.[citation needed] Kelly is also a voice-over artist who works at Blue Water Studios.

Biography

As a TV host, Kelly has interviewed over 20,000 guests.[citation needed] Nominated four times, Dave has twice won as "Best Television Host" AMPIA (Alberta Motion Picture Industry Association) award for his work on Citytv's Breakfast Television, Calgary's morning television show.[citation needed]

As an actor Kelly has worked in Crazy For You at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, as the Stage Manager in Theatre Calgary's Our Town, and the Elf in The Santaland Diaries, for which he received a nomination for Best Actor in a Comedy for the Calgary Betty Awards.[citation needed] Kelly has also lent his voice for characters in English-dubs such as Duuz Delax Rex in Angel Links, Yakusugi in Betterman, Kagami Mikage in Ceres, Celestial Legend, Bright Noa in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam as well as Ulube Ishikawa in G Gundam, and Gunther Prozen in Zoids: Chaotic Century.

As a host of live events, Dave has interviewed people as varied as Murray Edwards (one of TIME Canada's Canadian Leaders of the 21st Century), Ron Joyce (Co-Founder of Tim Horton's), and former President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf.[citation needed]

Kelly and his wife Blythe live with their son John in Calgary, Alberta.
