David W. Opitz is a former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Wisconsin State Senate.

Biography

Opitz was born on December 15, 1945 in Port Washington, Wisconsin.[1] He graduated from Carroll University and became a biologist. From 1971 to 1973, he served as Director of Environmental Health of Ozaukee County, Wisconsin.[2]

Political career

Opitz was elected to the Assembly in 1972. In April of 1979, Opitz was elected to the Senate from the 20th District and remained a member until 1984. He is a Republican.
