  • curprev 09:3009:30, 3 September 2023Blumpelstiltskin talk contribs 26,384 bytes −510 I have removed the subjective statement that the leading cause of Beethoven’s death is lead poisoning. By numbers, the most frequently advocated risk factor for his liver disease has been alcohol, followed by a form of viral hepatitis advocated either singly, or in combination with alcohol. I have additionally removed the statement that his physicians thought he was alcohol dependent. The physicians’ dietary recommendations are not exclusive to alcohol and do not support this interpretation. undo Tags: references removed Visual edit

Also clarified that K1a1b1a is more appropriately described as ‘common’, rather than ‘highly prevalent’, among Ashkenazi Jews. undo Tag: Visual edit

I correctly cite the original study, describe the genetic risk factors identified, describe the disease prevalences observed via retrospective cohort analyses using the UK BioBank, give detail on the HBV analyses, and clarify conclusions drawn from analyses of the Hiller Lock, which is inauthentic. undo Tag: Visual edit
