Deborah Gonzalez serves in the Georgia General Assembly as the state representative for Georgia House District 117. She is a member of the Democratic Party.

Political history

A lawyer by trade, Gonzalez defeated her Republican opponent with 53 percent of the vote in a November 2017 Special Election. The vacancy in the seat was created when her predecessor was appointed by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal to serve as a Superior Court Judge.
