Template:Geobox The Deer River is a 27-mile (43 km) long[1] tributary of the Black River, in Lewis County, New York, in the United States. The river originates in the Tug Hill and flows generally north, past Copenhagen, to join the Black River about 5 miles (8.0 km) above Carthage.
