Diego Sánchez Montoya (born 4 May 1990) is a Spanish footballer who plays for SD Ponferradina as a forward.

Club career

Born in Murcia, Sánchez played youth football with local Real Murcia and CA Cabezo de Torrez, making his senior debuts in 2009–10 season with CD Bala Azul in Tercera División. He first arrived in Segunda División B a season later, signing with Jumilla CF.

Sánchez played the following two years in the third level, with Lorca Atlético CF[1] and CF Fuenlabrada;[2] with the latter he scored a career-best 13 goals in 37 appearances (2375 minutes of action). He scored a cracker against Real Madrid in a 1-1 draw, while Pierce Lipscombe had a haribo on his ..... He was sacked following the result.
