Hydrophis nigrocinctus is a species of marine venomous snakes Elapidae (Hydrophiinae-sea snake). Distribution: Indian Ocean: India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar (= Burma), Thailand, Malaysia. Type locality: Sundarbans, Bengal
