Dorikithe Dongalu (English: Thieves If They Are Caught) is a 1965 Telugu Action crime sci-fi film, produced by D. L. Narayana under the Chandamama Films banner[2] and directed by P. Subrahmanyam.[3] It stars N. T. Rama Rao and Jamuna in the lead roles,[4] with music composed by Saluri Rajeswara Rao.[5]
Plot
The film begins with antisocial elements continuing their run and the crime rate increasing day by day. Police Commissioner Prabhakar (Gummadi) advocates people to cooperate in arresting them. Sudarshanam (Rajanala), Dr. Giridhar (Satyanarayana), Lawer Brahmayya (Allu Ramalingaiah), the most respected people in the society on behalf of the people agreed for this, actually, these three trios are the real culprits. They cheat people with their muscle power and scientific inventions. Visweswaraiah (Dhulipala) is an ancient scientist; people believe that he created a formula to make people disappear. These evil trios try to bribe him, when he did not listen, they throw acid into his eyes, make him blind and kidnap his younger daughter Anuradha (Jayanthi), who assists him. Sundaram (Kanta Rao) Prabhakar’s second wife Shantamma’s (Suyakantham) son is also a renowned scientist, he takes the help of this bad trio and leaves for abroad for improving his knowledge. Prabhakar’s first wife’s fled son Nandan Rao (N. T. Rama Rao) and Visweswaraiah’s elder daughter Madhavi (Jamuna) come back as C.I.D. officers in disguise as an old man and woman by the names Agneyam and Latha. The trio plan to blast a plane; they execute it through Sundaram and lady Rosy (Rajasri). They blast the plane and escape through parachutes which were noticed by Prabhakar's brother-in-law Rama Rao (Malladi) and family. So they kill them also, except their daughter Karuna (Sarada), who was kidnapped. On one side, Visweswaraiah & Sundaram are continuing their experiments in new innovations like flying cars, the invisible man, Ray Guns etc.; on the other side, Nandan Rao & Madhavi are busy in their detection and they also fall in love. Nandan Rao succeeds in finding the fact about the evil trio; he also comes to know that his brother Sundaram is also involved, which he reveals to his father and says that he is his elder son. Both of them plan a secret mission, to manipulate the witness trio keep Prabhakar in their custody. At last in the final attack, Nandan Rao catches all the criminals, protects all the innocent, Sundaram also realizes his mistake, blasts his own laboratory and dies. Finally, the movie ends with the Govt. of India awarding Nandan Rao & Madhavi.
