Draft:2024 vote of no confidence in Kristina Moore
A vote of no confidence in Kristina Moore, the chief minister of Jersey, was held on 16 January 2024. The proposition was brought by Moore's minister for infrastructure, Tom Binet, citing concerns about her leadership and the treatment of former government CEO Suzanne Wylie. Moore was initially expected to survive the vote, but lost by 27 votes to 22, making her the first Chief Minister to lose a vote of no confidence and the shortest-serving Chief Minister in Jersey's history. Following the vote, the States Assembly held an election for the new Chief Minister on 25 January, which was won by Lyndon Farnham.
