History

[edit]

ADAPT Technology was founded in May 1998 by Brian and Annette Smith. Both founders left their positions at LEAR Corporation to start ADAPT Technology, initially specializing in the CAD software IDEAS. A significant early achievement was training approximately 500 Nissan employees in IDEAS at their former Farmington Hills office. Over time, the firm expanded its services and software specialization, integrating staffing solutions that complemented their engineering offerings. This dual revenue stream allowed ADAPT Technology to maintain competitive pricing, making their services accessible to independent inventors without premium costs.
