Professor Dr. Abdul Halim bin Abdul Gafor (born 05 Oktober 1973) is currently been appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia since March 07, 2022, until now.
Academic Career[edit]
Abdul Halim is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Nephrology and a Senior Consultant Nephrologist at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM). He graduated from Universiti Malaya and later obtained his Master in Internal Medicine degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate training. He has trained many nephrologists and is currently a nephrology training committee member. He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals and written chapters in Malaysian Dialysis and Transplant Registry. He is the Immediate Past President of the Malaysian Society of Nephrology.
