Adam Thorn (born July 21, 1989) is an Australian born wildlife adventurer, jungle explorer, and TV host.[1] Best known for hosting History Channel's TV series Kings of Pain, where he subjected himself to being bitten and stung by some of the most painful animals in the world and ranking them on a comprehensive pain index.[2]
Since about 4 years old, Adam has been obsessed with wildlife. This passion has led him to some of the most remote places on the planet, working with some of the rarest and most iconic species in the world. Adam’s lifelong involvement with animals has resulted in him producing and hosting wildlife documentaries all over the globe, ultimately forging his career as a wildlife TV host.[3]
Kings of pain
[edit]Some of the worst bites Thorn received whilst hosting Kings of Pain was from a 16 foot Reticulated python, where he required staples and stitches in his arm.[4] He was also bitten by a highly venomous Mexican beaded lizard, which was so painful, it caused him to vomit.[5]
Other works
[edit]Thorn also hosted a series of wildlife documentaries 'Adam Thorn Presents', where he travelled to remote parts of the globe, searching for elusive animals like the bearcat and Malayan tapir.[citation needed]
Adam Thorn hosts a podcast called Thorn's Jungle, where he delves into topics about animals, cryptozoology and the jungle.[6]
Personal Life
[edit]Adam Thorn currently lives in Perth, Australia. He stands at 6 feet 3 inches (191cm).[7]
