Africa Film Productions a silent film era film production company in South Africa. A studio for its productions was built outside Johannesburg.[1]
Edgar Hyman filmed actualities in South Africa. Isidore W. Schlesinger established Africa Film Productions in 1916.[2] He employed directors Harold M. Shaw, Lorimer Johnston, Marmaduke Arundel Wetherell, and Dirk Cruikshanks.[3]
The studio's production included nationalistic epics and comedies.[4] "African Mirror" newsreels.
