  • Comment: You have two major issues;
    1) The first References list has lots of Wikipedia links, this is not permitted, see WP:CIRCULAR.
    2) Below the first Reference list you have a bunch of random citations (1 to 18). These should be cited in-line with the text, as it is impossible to know what they are referring to if they're just hanging there randomly.
    For a tutorial on referencing see WP:INTREFVE. Qcne (talk) 16:32, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: The inline citations need to be in the body of the article, not the references section. The text is currently completely unreferenced, so the inline citations should be moved. See MOS:CITE and WP:INCITE for more information. InterstellarGamer12321 (talk | contribs) 12:38, 7 May 2023 (UTC)

Aneez K Mappila (Aneez K M, born 6th July 1985), is a Documentary Filmmaker[1] who prominently works in Indian Documentary films; his area of expertise is Ethnographic filmmaking. He won the National Film Award for Best Anthropological/Ethnographic Documentary Film at the 65th National Film Awards[2][3] by the Government of India for his documentary The Slave Genesis. The jury mentioned 'The Slave Genesis[4] - A cinematic exploration of a little-known tribal community that has internalised its oppression through elaborate creation myths'. The documentary, 'The Slave Genesis' deals with the ethnicity and the social transformation of Paniya tribals, who belong to Wayanad, the hill district to the south of Western Ghats in South India. 'Paniya' literally translates to a 'labourer'. These tribals - who were deployed to work in the farms of migrants, who trickled into Wayanad from time to time, have distinct arts and songs that reflect their identities.[5] The prime among their songs is Penappaattu (speech of ghost), which they recite as part of funeral rituals. The song begins with the origin of the Paniya tribes.[6] Based on the contents of Penappattu, the documentary explores the social transformation of the Paniyas. His other prominent work is Vithappadu(2013).[7] featuring Cheruvayal Raman[8]
