Ayoub El Khayati (Arabic: أيوب الخياطي; born 31 January 1998) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Botola club AS FAR.
El Khayati began his career with hometown club US Temara. After excelling in the Moroccan lower leagues, he moved to UTS, where he would achieve promotion to Botola. Amid interest from several clubs, notably Raja CA and Wydad AC, El Khayati moved instead to his favourite team AS FAR.
Club career

[edit]El Khayati started playing football at a young age, which saw him joining the youth ranks of his hometown club US Temara. In summer 2016, he joined the first team.
UTS
[edit]Following his excellence at US Temara showing great potential especially with his penalty stopping skills, El Khayati signed his first professional contract with Botola 2 club UTS before helping the team achieve promotion to Botola for the first time since 2006. On 9 September 2022 he made his Botola debut in an away 1-0 defeat to DH Jadida. He made 7 more league appearances that season.
AS FAR
[edit]On 23 July 2023, El Khayati joined Botola giants AS FAR for an undisclosed fee[1][2]. On 26 August 2023, he made his professional debut with his new team in a home game against Togolese club ASKO in the 2nd leg of CAF Champions League's First Round, when he replaced Mehdi Benabid in the second half, he would later keep a clean sheet as AS FAR won 7-0[3]. His Botola debut was on 4 January 2024 in a 3-0 home win against Moghreb Tetuán.
