Battle[edit]
Kondavidu Fort one of the strongest fort in India. was governed by Timmarusu.[1]when Sultan of Golconda Quli Qutub Shah whose territories were ravaged By Sri Krishna Devaraya. Quli Qutub Shah who couldn't Resist the Vijayanagar army at the time now turned his attention to recover lost territories from Vijayanagar. Timmarusu was sent to Kondavidu to resume his duties as governor. On his way encountered the 60,000 Golconda army led by Madar-Ul-Mulk in Kondavidu.[1] Timmarusu with his 200,000 numerical Superior Vijayanagar army defeated Madar-Ul-Mulk.[1][2]
Aftermath[edit]
Madar-Ul-Mulk was captured along with his wife and son as prisoners. Elephants, horses, money, jewels were captured sent them to Vijayanagar.[2]after the Battle he proceeded to Kondavidu to administer the region under the fort control. Putting down many rebellions and settling disputes.[2] he finally appointed an agent to administer and returned back to Vijayanagar.[2]
