Black Samurai is an upcoming American biographical adventure film written and directed by Blitz Bazawule. The film follows the historical African samurai named Yasuke in the Sengoku period.
Production
[edit]Blitz Bazawule wrote a spec script for Black Samurai based on the historical figure Yasuke intending to direct. Bazawule took the project to different studios in April 2024, ultimately agreeing to produce the film for distribution with Warner Bros. Pictures.[1]
