Christian Venturini (born 6 March 1999) is an Italian football coach.[1]

Early life[edit]

Venturini grew up in Ospitaletto (province of Brescia). As a boy he plays in various local teams as a striker, without being able to enter the professional youth teams. He completed his schooling in accounting, then he moved to Malta at 19 years old, where he worked for a few months as clerk in an accountant office. Returning to Italy in 2019, he embarked on his university studies and, at the same time, began his career as a football coach.

In 2021 he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, while the following year he graduated with honors in Sports Management. The success of his university career gave him access to coaching courses, with the UEFA C license obtained in June 2022[2] followed closely by UEFA B, achieved in January 2023.[3] In summer 2023 he participated in the Match Analyst FIGC course of Coverciano[4], where his final thesis[5] has been selected among the three best of the course and published by the Technical Sector of the Federation.[6]

Career[edit]

Youths Coach[edit]

He began coaching at the age of 20, taking up the position of head coach of Padernese (U7). At the end of the 2019/2020 season, he became the Head of Soccer School of the club, a role he would play in the next three seasons, during which he signed for the first time in the club’s history the affiliation with Brescia Calcio.[7]

He continued to coach in other youth teams: in 2020/2021 he was head coach of Franciacorta (U8), while the following season he moved to Academy Montorfano Rovato (U12).

In the 2022/2023 season he arrives at the competitive youth academy, becoming coach of Padernese (U19): during his time at the helm, the category team gets for the first time the pass to the second phase of the Coppa Brescia thanks to the victory of the first qualifying group[8], back to win the derby against the rivals of Passirano Camignone 7 years after the last time and closes the season in 6th place in the league group[9], best placement in the category of the last 10 seasons.

Archived the experience at Padernese, he maintains the role of Head of Soccer School at Atletico Castegnato in parallel with the activity with the first team.

Assistant Coach[edit]

2023-2024, Atletico Castegnato[edit]

In July 2023, Venturini signed a one-year contract with Atletico Castegnato, the newly promoted Serie D team, as assistant coach. This was his first experience in a first-team technical staff and, in the 2023/2024 season, he has been the youngest assistant coach in the category. During the season, in addition to working on the field, he worked as match analyst, studying in particular the opposing teams. He remained in office until 23 April 2023: Venturini, in fact, resigned[10] after the dismissal of head coach Giovanni Ivano Guerra, which took place the previous day, with the team in 15th place in the standings and in the play-out zone, in line with the declared seasonal objective. In the last two league games, the team scored two losses, relegating after the play-out defeat against Luparense. Venturini ended his first season as assistant coach with 34 official benches (32 in Serie D and 2 in Coppa Italia Serie D).
