Conflict of Nations: World War 3 is a free multiplayer video game that takes place in modern day.[1] It was developed by Dorado Games and initially released in 2016. It was introduced to Steam on March 16, 2018, and to both Android and iOS on September 3, 2020.[2][3][4] There are multiple game modes, or "campaign types" which players are required to choose before starting a match.[5] These include "Flashpoint Europe", which is determined by the borders of modern Europe, some areas of the Middle East, the Caucasus, northwest Africa and eastern North America, and excludes Greenland. This also includes non-existing countries, regions inside countiries, or partially recognized states while excluding other countries, such as the Baltic States, Donbas, Karelia, Kaliningrad, Crimea, Northern Ireland, and Veyshnoria, most of which are not playable as;[6] "World War III", which is determined by the borders of the modern day world, although it is important to note that territorial disputes are randomly given out to countries who claim them, and this campaign type also uses non-existing countries and partially recognized states. For example, in this version the Uyghurs have their own nation. This campaign type also has a 4x speed option, where the player can play the original WW3 mode with events occuring 4x faster than usual.
