Damian Octavio Elias is a behavioral ecologist and professor at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on basic principals in animal behavior and behavioral adaptation. [1] He is Mexican American and grew up in in Nogales, Arizona. [2]

Education

Damian is the first person to go to college in his family and received his undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona. [3] Hie received his PhD from Cornell University in the department of Neurobiology and Behavior.[3]
