In 2021, Womersley secured a notable 4-0 whitewash win over former professional Rod Lawler at the 2021 Q School.[3] In January 2022 Womersley reached the quarter-final of the 2022 Snooker Shoot Out where he lost to eventual winner Hossein Vafaei.[4] In April 2023 Womersley faced York’s Liam Pullen in the final of the Yorkshire Snooker Championship, held at the Northern Snooker Centre.[5] He won the 2022-23 EPSB Open Series Playoff to earn a free 2023 Q School entry.[6]

[edit]

In February 2024, he reached the semi final of the 2024 World Snooker Federation Championship where he lost to Gao Yang of China.[7]

In the second round of qualifying for the 2024 World Snooker Championship he was drawn against Aaron Hill, but lost 10-3.[8]

He entered Q School in May 2024 and in the first event was beaten in the penultimate round by Dylan Emery. [9] In the second event he progressed to the latter stages with a win over Jack Bradford.[10]

2024/25

[edit]

His performances at 2024 Q School were enough to earn a top-up place at the 2024 Championship League, the opening event of the 2024-25 snooker season and he was drawn in the same group as recently crowned world champion Kyren Wilson, ss well as Scott Donaldson, and Baipat Siripaporn. He earned a credible 2-2 draw with Wilson at the event[11][12] In qualifying for the Wuhan Open he defeated ranking event winner Joe Perry 5-3 in July 2024.[13]
