Cashman made his debut for the Cork senior football team in the Allianz Football League against Donegal in January 2024.[3][4]
At university level, Cashman has represented UL in the Sigerson Cup competition in 2023 and in 2024. In 2023, the Millstreet man was awarded a place on the Sigerson Cup Team of the Year.[5]
In the 2024 McGrath Cup, Cashman equalizer against Kerry ensured penalties for the first time between the counties in a men's fixture.[6]
