Dejan Milicevic (born in Belgrade, Serbia) is a prominent DJ, producer, and composer known for his pioneering role in the techno scene of Serbia.

Early Life and Career:[edit]

Milicevic's interest in music began at a young age. He started DJing at 15 during the turbulent 1990s in Serbia, a time when access to records was limited. Despite these challenges, he played a crucial role in building the techno scene in Belgrade alongside other DJs. In 1996, he co-founded the collective Teenage Techno Punks (TTP) with Marko Nastic, which remained active until 2002.[1][2][3]

DJ Career[edit]

Throughout his 20-year career, Milicevic has performed at numerous international events and festivals, including Boiler Room, Tomorrowland (Belgium), ADE (Netherlands), Awakenings (Netherlands), OFF Sonar (Spain), Sonus (Croatia), and EXIT (Serbia). He has also performed in renowned clubs such as Tresor Berlin (Germany), Fabric Madrid (Spain), and The Egg London (UK), extending his reach beyond Europe to clubs like Glow (Thailand).[1][4][5][6] In 2018, he revived the TTP concept with Nastic, launching the techno hybrid live set project TTP 2.0.[7]

Musical Style:[edit]

Milicevic's music style is a blend of techno and house, characterized by innovative soundscapes and rhythmic complexity.[8]

Production Career[edit]

Milicevic has released several EPs and has worked as a remixer. He released four studio albums: "Trust and the Purpose" (2011), "Just Keep Talking Girl" (2012), "Summation" (2017), and "Digging For The Good Stuff" (2020). In 2014, he launched his own imprint, Tit Zero Recordings.[1][9][10]

Other Ventures[edit]

For five years, Milicevic served as a music ambassador for Burn Energy Drink and lecturer for Burn Audio Tool software. He composed music for the 2021 film "After The Winter" by Ivan Bakrac and the 2022 film "Fitness Jim" by Ognjen Isailovic.[11][12]

Recognition[edit]

In 2005, Dejan performed alongside Dušan Skovran and the Belgrade String Orchestra at Belef - Belgrade's Summer Festival. He showcased his work internationally at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London in 2009. In 2021, his album "Digging For The Good Stuff" received the Best Album Award at the Ambassador Awards by Klubska Scena, a Croatian electronic music publication.[13]
