Diazynediium[1] (or diprotonated molecular nitrogen) is the compound of nitrogen and hydrogen with the formula [N2H2]2+. It is a binary nitrogen hydride as well as a dication rather than the diazenylium monocation(N2H+).This compound is a congener of diimide, and therefore shares a linear structural formation.[2]
