Dynaset Oy is a Finnish company, which manufacturers hydraulic generators, power washers, compressors and other hydraulic equipment for mobile machinery.[1] Dynaset was founded in 1986 in Ylöjärvi, Finland where the company's factory and headquarters are located.[2] The company’s technology increases the productivity of mobile machinery from small vehicles to heavy machines providing solutions in various industries such as construction, earth moving, mining, demolition, transportation, infrastructure, service, subsea and others.[1] Dynaset operates globally in over 80 countries with a wide dealer network on every continent.[1]

Dynaset, founded in 1986 in Ylöjärvi, Finland, by young engineer Reijo Karppinen, emerged from a small garage with the ambition of creating a versatile and dynamic product range to cater to diverse customer needs. The name Dynaset, inspired by "DYNA" for dynamic and "SET" for a wide product family, aptly reflects the company's vision. The first manufactured product was the HG Hydraulic Generator that was sold to a local scrap metal company's truck to power up a magnet.[3]

Despite initial skepticism from business consultants regarding global market demand, Reijo's determination remained unwavering. He personally took it upon himself to showcase Dynaset products at exhibitions, effectively capturing the attention of potential customers with the transformative capabilities of his innovative machines. This marked the beginning of Dynaset's global expansion, fueled by unwavering belief in the value of its technology.[3]

Over time, Dynaset has grown into a globally recognized brand, serving customers in various industries. The company's product family has expanded to eight categories, each meticulously designed to address specific industry needs.[3] Dynaset's commitment to growth has been reflected in its numerous factory expansions, with the latest one in 2023 increasing storage capacity by 40 %.[4] Today, Dynaset continues with its strong family legacy under the leadership of Reijo's daughter, Anni Karppinen, who has taken on the role of CEO since 2023.[5]

The company's technology utilizes the hydraulic system of machines, vehicles, and vessels as the primary power source, leveraging its expertise in hydraulic systems and integration with various machine brands to ensure seamless integration. With the world's best power-to-size ratio, the products are designed for easy installation on all mobile machines.[6]

Electricity[edit]

Dynaset provides on-board electricity for mobile use. The machine operator is set free from the electricity grid and allowed to use electric tools anywhere, from city centers to hinterland. The product selection includes a variety of hydraulic generators such as HG Hydraulic Generators and HWG Hydraulic Welding Generators.[7]

High Pressure Water[edit]

Offering wide range of applications from everyday pressure washing and street cleaning to dust suppression. This category offers the largest product assortment including HPW Hydraulic High Pressure Water Pumps, KPL High Pressure Street Washing Units, SCU Surface Cleaning Units, HDF Hydraulic Drilling Fluid Pumps, FP Firefighting Piercing Kit, HSP Hydraulic Submersible Pumps etc.[8]

Compressed Air[edit]

Hydraulic compressors produce compressed air by utilizing hydraulics. The selection includes HK Hydraulic Piston Compressors and HKR Hydraulic Screw Compressors suitable for all pneumatic tools and other applications.[9]

Magnet Power[edit]

Various applications from powering magnets to collecting scrap metal etc. A selection of HMG Pro Hydraulic Magnet Generators, HMAG Pro Hydraulic Magnets and MAG Lifting Magnets.[10]

Vibration[edit]

Vibration enhances an excavator’s bucket penetration to hard, rocky and frozen ground. It also enhances compacting soil, emptying the bucket and cutting asphalt with an excavator or a backhoe. This can be accomplished with the HVB Hydraulic Vibra or HVD Hydraulic Directional Vibra.[11]

Power Boosting[edit]

The HPI Hydraulic Pressure Intensifier boosts the hydraulic pressure of hydraulic cylinders by using the power from the base machine’s hydraulic system. The pressure levels are adjustable up to 700 bar. The HPIC Hydraulic Pressure Intensifier for Cylinder increases the cylinder force boosting the power of attachment tools such as pulverizers.[12]

Vacuum[edit]

The HRVB Hydraulic Recycling Vacuum Bucket provides high-volume airflow for vacuum and air blow applications. The HCF Hydraulic Centrifugal Fan provides powerful air blow or vacuum with one unit making high volume airflow applications possible in mobile usage.[13]

Know-How[edit]

Dynaset has expertise of utilizing mechanical power and converting it to fluid power. Pressurized liquids are used as power source in company’s products and applications. The company’s experts are familiar with the most of the hydraulic systems and have experience of integration with different vehicle brands.[14]
