Eric Sanders was quarterback at the University of Northern Iowa from 2004-2007. He came in as a Freshman after Senior QB, Tom Petrie went down with a fractured collarbone. The once walk-on at the University of Northern Iowa stepped right in and was named the Missouri Valley Conference freshman of the year.
In 2005, he led the Northern Iowa Panthers football team an 11-4 record and a trip to the National Championship to against the Appalachian State Mountaineers where Northern Iowa lost 21-16.
