Draft:Glenn Fiedler

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • Comment: As you know WP:BLP tends to have a bit of a higher standard for notability and sourcing. Here there's not really a lot of coverage or sourcing specifically on Fiedler as opposed to the work he as done as part of the development companies he has worked for. On the Criticism section, WP:ONEEVENT applies - we can't say that he's notable as a whole if the coverage about him is only picking up a very narrow thing he said at one time! • Comment: It seems you might have a better shot at having an article for Network Next being published given the sources provide more information and coverage for the startup not the developer. Your choice, but I'm still declining this draft. Also, external links in the body of the draft must be removed. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 01:02, 22 December 2024 (UTC)

Criticism of The Division

[edit]

In 2016, Fiedler criticized the netcode of The Division in response to rampant cheating post launch, claiming that the cheating was the result of a "trusted client network model" and may require a complete rewrite of the netcode to fix. This criticism was picked up by a number of news sites, including The Guardian[8][9][10][11][12]
