Hande Çilingir (born 1985) is a Turkish entrepreneur who is the co-founder and CEO of Insider.[1][2][3]
Education
[edit]Çilingir's was born in Bursa, Turkey to immigrants: her mother was from Greece and her father from Bulgaria.[4] She attended Bursa Anatolian High School, and Istanbul Bilgi University, and received her undergraduate diploma from the London School of Economics.[5][4]
Career
[edit]Çilingir previously created an English as a second or foreign language school in Fethiye, Turkey, with Serhat Soyuerel[6] and sold it.[7]
In 2012, she co-founded Insider, an artificial intelligence-backed marketing company,[8][9] alongside Arda Koterin, Mehmet Sinan Toktay, Muharrem Derinkök, Okan Yedibela and Serhat Soyuerel.[7][10] According to Forbes, the company is worth US$2 billion as of March 2024.[11] In 2021, she spoke with Barack Obama at the Reshape 2021 summit.
