Hanne Stensgaard (born 7. august 1953) is a danish Actor and lecturer.
Hanne Stensgaard was educated for handicraft teacher. After the education she started at the Actorschool at Aarhus Teater, where she studied from 1976 to 79. She has been associated Aarhus Theatre, Dr. Dantes Aveny, Café Teatret, Mammut Teatret og Svalegangen.
In 1985 she went to audition for the role Princess Miamaja in DRs Nordic Christmas calender Jul på Slottet. She was 31 years old and had just born her first child. She was in money shortage and lied herself six years younger, when she was asked about her age. She had heard, that a 28-year old actor was rejected, because she was too old.
She got the role, and became nationally known, when the Nordic Christmas calendar was sent and became a big success. She got many inquiries from theatres. She got smaller roles for example Babette's Feast and Rejseholdet.
After the role Ødipus' mother she got stage fright and dropped the theatre. She got employed in a Erotica Shop, Lust in København in 1998. She also worked as a guide on Museum Erotica. In 2005 she published the cookbook Lovers Kitchen about eating one self Libido. From May 2008 she became the director of Museum Erotica[1], that closed in spring 2009 because of bad economy. Today she's a lecturer and guide in erotic and sexual culture.
