The MTA-SZTE-ELTE History of Globalization Research Group was established by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences with the aim of studying the emergence of globalisation and territorialisation processes in Hungary from the last third of the 19th century to the end of the 20th century in an international comparison.[1]
Organisation[edit]
The MTA-SZTE-ELTE History of Globalization Research Group was founded in 2019 with the support of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Later, it became part of the European Research Network (ELKH) and operated within the framework of the Hungarian Research Network (HUN-REN).
The leader of the research group is Professor Béla Tomka, Head of the Department of Contemporary History at the University of Szeged.
The team is based on close cooperation between the Department of Contemporary History at the University of Szeged (SZTE) and the Department of Comparative Historical Sociology at the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Faculty of Social Sciences (head of department: Dr. habil. Márkus Keller).[2]
Former and current researchers of the group include Katalin Baráth, Péter Bencsik, Zsombor Bódy, Melinda Kalmár, Márkus Keller, Gábor Koloh, Réka Krizmanics, Péter Nagy, Márton Simonkay and Béla Tomka.[3]
