I Greppi (Italian: [ˈi greppi]) is a small winery in the Bolgheri region of Tuscany in the province of Livorno.

History

Established in 2001 by two Tuscan winemaking families, the villa and estate vineyards cover 27 hectares and is located in the town of Castagneto Carducci. In 2017, the estate and business were purchased by a consortium of international geologists. The property has since introduced 1000 species of flora to rehabilitate the ecosystem. This includes 17 hectares vineyards planted to Bordeaux wine grape varieties.[1]

Production

I Greppi produces two red wines, Greppicante that is classified Bolgheri DOC Rosso and Greppicaia which is classified Bolgheri DOC Superiore.[2]

Recognition

James Suckling and Jeb Dunnuck regularly review the wines. The 2019 Greppicaia received 95 points from Suckling.[3]
