Indiana University Columbus (IUC) is a public university in Columbus, Indiana. One of nine campuses of Indiana University, it is administered as a regional education center through its parent campus, Indiana University Indianapolis (IU Indy). Formerly Indiana University–Purdue University Columbus, it was established after the breakup of Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis into IU Indy and Purdue in Indianapolis.
Before the split, the only two Purdue degree-granting programs were biology and mechanical engineering. The university has announced that biology will continue to be offered at the school through Indiana University but mechanical engineering will be discontinued.
