Background
[edit]The album was released on 2 December 2022. It was in collaboration with Big Band Bjelovar and Bruno Bišćan.[1] The band was formed in 1979. In a press release, the band stated the following regarding the collaboration: "The collaboration with Matija Cvek had its debut in Bjelovar in 2021 and it was the first such collaboration with a talented author and solo performer as w ell as with the new arrangements made specifically for Big Band Bjelovar. Matija recognized our effort and artistic value of the project so he suggested the recording of the album. Of course, one of the motivating factors was the amazement of the audience with the project so we are hoping for a long list of successful collaborations".[1] During an interview, Cvek revealed that the album was the same as his debut studio album Izbirljivo i slučajno only with jazz rearrangements of songs in an "improved version".[2]
