Joanna Beata Wicha (born 9 October 1966) is a Polish nurse, politician and labour union activist. She is a member of the left-wing party Lewica Razem since 2015, and a member of the Sejm since 2023..[1]
Biography[edit]
Wicha was born in Biała Podlaska[1]. In 1986 she has graduated from medical school, and continued her education in University of Warsaw until 2003, wherein she has achieved a Master's degree in Sociology[2]. For over 35 years Wicha has been working in and around healthcare services, at some point having worked at a children's hospital[3]. She has also joined the Polish National Trade Union of Nurses and Midwives[4]
Political career[edit]
In 2015, Wicha became an early member of the Left Together party, where she served as a member of the national council.
