Draft:Laursen's Realskole

Laursens Realskole is a private school in the centre of Aarhus. The school was founded by the House Painter Herman Poulsen, when he in 1886 employed the teacher Anna Laursen to teach his children in their private residence. The school grew when other parents sent their children to be taught in the private school room in Vestergade 38, and in 1888, with 36 students, the school rented rooms. From 1891, Anna Laursen lead the school, and in 1901 the school was named "Fru Laursens Realskole". The school has occupied Hjelmensgade 12 since 1920. Anne Laursen was head mistress until her death at 67 years in 1911.
