Draft:Laws Vs Morality

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

here are times where laws conflict with societal or individual moral values. For example, debates surrounding issues such as abortion, capital punishment, and suicide often involve clashes between legal frameworks and moral beliefs. such as Laws Criminalizing Poverty: Some jurisdictions have laws that criminalize activities associated with poverty, such as begging, sleeping in public spaces. These laws are often seen as targeting those in poverty. On top of this, a person that was in this situation of Laws vs. Morals is Jean Valjean from Les Mis. In Les Mis, Valjean puts his morals over the law, and steals bread for his dying nephew. After this, he gets in huge trouble, and after being freed from duties, steals again for morals over law.
