Backstory
Lil Juju is an American songwriter, producer, and artist from Houston, Texas. He is known for making music fastly and his unique style of producing albums, with most of them having only instrumentals.
Early Music
Lil Juju started making meme rap music under the alias of "MetallicE", a play on words of the famous metal band, Metallica. His first song, 3 Lil' Piggies, was a 30 second joke song. He released his first album in 2023, named F0rg0t th3 C0v3r. Lil Juju later admitted that none of these songs on the album was his:
"I'm going to be 100% honest, none of those songs were mine. I just wanted to feel how it felt to produce an album, I guess." - Lil Juju
Stealing music wouldn't happen forever, though. Lil Juju released his second album under the same alias, MetallicE, Spooky SZN. The album was full of short, 40-80 second songs. Lil Juju also admitted that these songs weren't exactly morally right.
"Yeah, no. All of those were AI generated. Except like [the song] "NOT MENTAL". I made that. That's why the other songs are so short. The AI feature only makes short songs and expects you to loop it" - Lil Juju
Under a New Alias
After Spooky SZN, Lil Juju started to realize that he needed to change his name.
"I felt like.. MetallicE wasn't me. That's why I changed it."
He changed his name to Lil Juju. He then released his most critically talked about album, MASKED in late 2023. People claimed it was very rushed and felt as if the songs were unfinished. This album made history, though, because this brought the first song that Lil Juju ever sang in. He colabed with Lil Aids, one of Lil Juju's friends, to create the song Loam (feat. Lil Aids). This song was accidentally released by Lil Aids and Lil Juju just decided to put it on the album. In this song, Lil Juju disses someone from his school, named Cannon shortly with the line: "Cannon be so prone / 4'4, the dome / Shot your foster home / I'mma make boy known". He also references his Science and Homeroom teacher in this song.
In another song in which he sang in, AND STUFF, also features Lil Aids. It starts out with an intro about a teacher getting mad, and then cuts to a beat. Lil Juju later sings on this beat and critics started saying, "I feel like the end of the song just got cut off", in which it did. Lil Juju just stops rapping at one point.
Lil Juju then released his best instrumental album, "5.45". This album only had instrumentals in it. The album was not popular, only being as popular as Masked, only having 80-90 streams. The album has many good songs, though, mainly being because this was the first album where Lil Juju placed the notes on a song.
A New Era
Lil Juju spent time on his next album. With no lead single, he knew he had to bring up the hype. In a Discord server, he released his new album along with a listening party, which quickly got the whole server knowing about Lil Juju. The album was named "XX. Vol 1" and it had features from many different artists, Silv, Lil Pip, Lil Aids, and more. Lil Juju introduced all of these artists to music and some of them started making music after they featured on XX Vol 1. Lil Juju would pair up with Distrokid to put music on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, and more. These were very successful and Lil Juju made money from it.
Lil Juju is now teasing his new albums, so who knows whats going to happen next!
