Draft:Los York

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

LOS YORK is a hybrid advertising design agency and commercial production company that was founded in 2012 by Seth Epstein, an Emmy-award winning director, and Dexton Deboree, a production executive, after the pair acquired a struggling motion graphics company. The company had offices in Los Angeles and New York, but closed both physical offices during COVID.[1] LOS YORK operates daily with an international staff and network of directors and creatives. The studio’s creatives, strategists, designers and directors hail from many countries and different cultures. LOS YORK calls this network of employees their “Global Nomads of the Arts.”[2] In 2016 LOS YORK was ranked No. 8 on Inc’s 5000 list.[3]

In 2017 the company launched a line of apparel called LOS YORK Label, featuring limited-edition sweatshirts to T-shirts emblazoned with the Los York logo, snapback caps and flight tags.[4] In 2018, the agency launched a film division, LOS YORK Films, with a roster of directors including Epstein and Deboree.[5] In 2019, LOS YORK was reconstituted and Deboree left to found his own company.[6]

Current agency partners include Founder and Chief Creative Officer Seth Epstein, Executive Creative Director Scott Hidinger, formerly an executive creative director at Deutsch L.A. and Managing Director Melina Osornio-Andrade.[7]
