Matthew Ryan Kleinmann is an American politician and community developer. He is running to represent Kansas' second congressional district in the 2024 Democratic primary.[1] He was a member of the 2007–08 Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball team, which won the NCAA tournament.[2]

Early Life and Education[edit]

Kleinmann was born February 25, 1986 and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. He attended and graduated from Blue Valley West High School.[3] He attended college at Kansas University, where he was a member of the men's basketball team, including the 2007-2008 national championship team.[4] He was nicknamed "Big Red" by Jayhawk fans.[5]
