Mediversal Hospital is a healthcare chain based in Patna, India, operating a multi-specialty hospital, a mother and child hospital (Mediversal Maatri), an outpatient and diagnostic center (Mediversal Health Studio), and a home care service (Mediversal Homecare).[1][2][3]

History

Mediversal Hospital, a Bihar based healthcare provider started its journey in March 2017 by laying the foundation of its main hospital in Patna. Despite the Covid 19 pandemic the hospital showed its commitment to healthcare by opening its first 100 bed hospital in Patna in July 2020.[4] Next year was big for Mediversal, it implemented NABH standards in April 2021 and then in October 2021 the hospital was awarded by Government of Bihar for its outstanding Covid 19 work.

Mediversal grew in 2023. July saw the launch of Mediversal Homecare where healthcare services were extended to patients' homes and October saw the launch of Mediversal Maatri, a mother and child hospital.[5][6] By December 2023 the organization had 500+ healthcare professionals. Mediversal was recognized as a leading healthcare brand in Bihar by Economic Times in January 2024.[7] February 2024 saw the launch of Mediversal Health Studio[8] an outpatient and diagnostic center. And finally in March 2024 Mediversal's main hospital got NABH Accreditation.[9]

Mediversal Hospital is empanelled with CGHS, ECHS and Ayushman Bharat. So the hospital will be serving a large number of beneficiaries including government employees, ex-servicemen and economically weaker section of the society.[10]

In March, 2022 Mediversal Hospital in Patna faced allegations of negligence following the death of Sanjay Sinha - State Secretary - JDU. His family claimed that the hospital failed to provide proper care, leading to his death. The hospital denied the claims, stating that all protocols were followed. The incident has sparked public concern, and an investigation is ongoing to determine if negligence was involved.[11][12]
