Mercans was founded by Tatjana Domovits, a former employee of Ernst & Young, with the aim of helping global companies solve their payroll challenges with a payroll technology solution.[2] Mercans set up an office in Dubai in 2004 and in Latin America in 2009.
- On February 23, 2022, HM Revenue & Customs recognized Mercans’ HR Blizz as authorized payroll software, enabling seamless online reporting of PAYE information.[3]
- New Zealand Trade and Enterprise recommends Mercans as a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) in Canada.[4]
- Mercans has partnered with Uruguay XXI to invest in new businesses in Latin America. In 2020, Mercans started business services projects in Colombia and Costa Rica.[5]
