Draft:Nick Oliveri (author)
Submission declined on 11 September 2024 by Asilvering (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Submission declined on 6 September 2024 by Utopes (talk). This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by Utopes 2 months ago. |

- Comment: Sorry, it's very difficult to show notability for an author who has only written one book. If there are a lot of reviews for The Conjurer, you might consider making an article on that instead. asilvering (talk) 00:58, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Amazon, Facebook, interviews, Goodreads and press releases are of no use at all, please remove/replace. Theroadislong (talk) 12:53, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Please don't cite bookshops. Retailers may sell sources, but they are not valid sources themselves. DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:38, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Requires WP:TNT and a complete re-write in neutral, dry encyclopaedic tone. Theroadislong (talk) 06:33, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Still written incredibly promotionally. The whole article reads as a puff-piece meant to sell books. "Not one to stay out of media and entertainment for long", "and spread tell his stories as he's learned along the way.", -? Remove the external links to various books and storefronts from the article; Wikipedia is not a soapbox. Utopes (talk / cont) 05:22, 6 September 2024 (UTC)

Nick Oliveri is an American novelist.
Education
[edit]Oliveri attended North Andover High School, graduating in 2018.[1] He attained his bachelor's degree from California State University at Monterey Bay.[2]
Impact Snacks
[edit]While in college, he cofounded a sustainable consumer-packaged-goods company, "Impact Snacks".[3]
Author
[edit]Oliveri released his debut novel The Conjurer in December 2021. Kirkus Reviews said of it, "Well-developed characters drive the plot, each sketched by economical prose."[4] Kirkus Reviews remarked on his 2023 novel Monsters in my Mind, saying, "Oliveri’s tale is an ambitious one, making a bold attempt to present an examination of how inner voices can cause people to go down harmful paths. Although the overall premise of the novel is compelling, the author’s execution works against it."[5]
