Nimesh Nikhil[1](Nepali: निमेष निखिल) is Nepali poet and lecturer. His legal name is Khil Prasad Baral. Nikhil is a poet impacted by societal flaws and disparities, prompting his engagement in literary writing. He is identified with the progressive trend within contemporary Nepali poetry. From a young age, Nikhil developed a keen interest in literature, initiating his journey into poetry writing informally in 1985. and marking his formal entry into the literary arena after his debut publication at the Neta Laghu Kavita Youth Forum in 1996 . His initial major work is a collection of poems titled "Manharuko Parisar" (2008 ), followed by "Umerko Nadi" (2013 , Long Poems), with his third notable work being "Shokgeetko Postmortem" (2015 , Poetry Collection). Given his contributions to literature, Nikhil is also a distinguished figure from Makwanpur district.
He is currently pursuing doctorate on 'The Curve of Nepali Poetry after Declaration of the Republic.'
