- Comment: With the exception of the SVT piece (#23), none of the sources contribute towards notability per WP:GNG.Also, 'sources' 2, 14, 17, 18 and 22 are not references, they are merely explanatory notes. Source 3 is user-generated, and therefore not considered reliable. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:46, 4 April 2024 (UTC)

Organisation
[edit]NordicFuzzCon, 802467-4924, is a non-profit organisation registered in Sweden[19]. Its main purpose is to host an annual furry convention and collect money for charity through donations that take place during the convention.
NordicFuzzCon is a subsidiary of NordicFuzzCon AB, 559041-6425, also registered in Sweden[20]
Mascots
[edit]NordicFuzzCon's mascots are called Mausie and Iris[21]. They are a hybrid species called "raus", a mix between a rat and a mouse.
Mausie has been part of NordicFuzzCon since the very beginning, while Iris was later introduced as Mausie's cousin during NordicFuzzCon 2019.
Games
[edit]NordicFuzzCon offers a series of mini-games during the convention. These are called Achievement Hunting, Blips, and Catch 'em All.
Achievement Hunting
[edit]The main premise of this mini-game is to find achievement codes around the convention space, and enter them into a system offered by the convention. By doing this, attendees are able to unlock achievements and sometimes win prizes. This mini-game also integrates with the Blips and Catch 'em All mini-games.
Blips
[edit]The blips are NordicFuzzCon's version of the Bloop Box open-source project. Once attendees have checked-in at the convention, they are able to scan their convention badges on boxes that are scattered around the convention. By doing this, it is possible to create different sequences based on who scanned their badge before, unlocking achievements and noises that the boxes play.
Catch 'em All
[edit]This mini-game is inspired by Pokémon's "gotta catch 'em all" slogan. Attendees are able to find fursuiters and record their interaction in a system provided by the convention. This way, attendees can have their own log of fursuits that they have "caught".
Events during the convention
[edit]NordicFuzzCon allows attendees to submit and host their own events[22] through a call for papers, also known as call for speakers. In addition to this, some commonly recurring events offered by the convention include
- Arcade
- Creative Exposé
- Charity Auction
- Charity Concert
- Dances
- Dead Dog Party
- Dead Dog Dinner
- Dealers' Den
- Fursuit Games
- Fursuit Parade
- Haunted House
- Open House
- Maid Café
Open house
[edit]NordicFuzzCon offers a unique experience to local residents, by allowing them to visit and participate the event for free during the Open House day[23]. During this day, guests are invited to participate of activities with fursuiters, take pictures, and visit the Maid Café.
Structure and volunteers
[edit]NordicFuzzCon is solely run by volunteers. These volunteers are referred to as STEW, an abbreviation of STaff and crEW[24]. The organisation counts with more than 380 such volunteers that help organise and run the convention. In addition to this, NordicFuzzCon encourages regular attendees to help out as "SOUP" (Some Other Useful Personnel), a volunteer programme that allows attendees to get a glimpse into how furry conventions are run, in exchange for their aid in performing various basic tasks during the event.
