Pressure is an upcoming British historical drama film written and directed by Anthony Maras, co-written by David Haig, adapted from Haig’s stage play of the same name. It stars Andrew Scott as meteorologist James Stagg and Brendan Fraser as Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Premise
[edit]In the final days before the planned Allied invasion of Europe in 1944, Royal Air Force meteorologist James Stagg must deliver a weather report to the Allied high command determining the feasibility of the planned D-Day.[1]

Production
[edit]The film is produced by Working Title and StudioCanal and directed by Anthony Maras, who co-wrote the script with David Haig. It is adapted from Haig's stage play Pressure which premiered in Edinburugh in 2014 and later moved to the West End.[2]
Andrew Scott was reported to be leading the cast in July 2024 as Captain James Stagg.[3] The same month, Brendan Fraser was cast as Dwight D. Eisenhower.[4] The following month, Kerry Condon joined the cast as Eisenhower's assistant Captain Kay Summersby.[5]
Principal photography is scheduled for the UK in September.[6]
