Quanzhou Qinggong Football Club (Chinese: 泉州轻工足球俱乐部; pinyin: Quánzhōu Qīnggōng Zúqiú Jùlèbù), previously known as Fujian Quanzhou Youth Football Club, is a Chinese football club based in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. The club has undergone several name changes and restructuring since its founding in 2012 and competes in various regional and national competitions in China.[1]

History

[edit]

The club was originally founded in November 2012 as Huada Athletic Football Team by Hong Qilin and Hung Siu-wai in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. Its initial goal was to promote football development in the region Over the years, the club went through several rebranding phases. It was first renamed Quanzhou Light Industry Football Club and later re-registered as Quanzhou Youth Industry Football Club on November 23, 2018.[2][3]

In February 2019, the club was involved in a group assault incident that led to significant disciplinary action. As a result, the club was banned for one year by football authorities After serving the suspension, the club rebranded again on June 19, 2020, adopting the name Fujian Quanzhou Youth Football Club[4]
