Reka AI Research is a multimodal artificial intelligence company, headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. It currently specializes in large language models, with possible visual input.

History[edit]

Reka was founded by former members of DeepMind, Google Brain, FAIR, and other technology companies.^[1]^[2] It has received $50 million in startup funds from Snowflake Inc. and DST Global, and was valued by Reuters at $300 million in June 2023.^[3]

In early 2024, Snowflake attempted to purchase Reka for $1 billion, but the deal did not take place.^[4]
