Shaban Zenuni was a militant and a fighter for the liberation of Kosovo. He was born on August 5, 1974, in the village of Merovë, in the municipality of Zhelina, Tetovo ¹. After completing his primary education in his hometown, he went to Syria to continue his secondary education at an Islamic religious institute ¹. Upon returning to his homeland, he worked as an imam in the village mosque where his father had served before him ¹.
Zenuni joined the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in 2001 and was appointed commander of the Fourth Battalion of the 112th Brigade "Mujdin Aliu" ¹. He was known for his bravery and determination in the fight for the liberation of Kosovo ¹. Zenuni was killed on May 12, 2010, in the village of Raduša, near the border with Kosovo, during a shootout with Macedonian police forces ¹.
